Stone Fruit Purée

Stone Fruit Purée

Featured Tool:

Place nectarine and water into a large saucepan. Cover and simmer over low heat, stirring once or twice, for around 5 minutes or until the nectarine begins to soften.

Stir in the rest of the fruit, cover and continue to simmer for around 15 more minutes or until all the fruit has softened. Don’t forget to occasionally stir the fruit and water mixture.

Pour mixture into the food mill and purée to desired consistency. Don’t forget to scrape the bottom of the mill so you get all of the bits of purée.

Let cool slightly before serving.

Yields approximately ¾ cup or 6 ounces.

When using a food mill, rotate the mill clockwise and counter-clockwise in order to process all the bits of food.

This is the bottom of the mill. Make sure to scrape off these yummy bits of purée, too.

Happy Cooking!
